re-doing room for a teen girl?
so i am basically going to start from scratch…getting rid of all my old furniture and everything so i have a bare room.
i would like my theme to be old hollywood glamour. (black and white posters of old movie stars, perfume bottle accents, white walls) kind of thing.
however: i have tons of random little objects that fill up space and im not sure if i should get rid of them or store them etc.
1. a bunch of sports trophies
2. tons of art supplies
3. board games&lots of dvds
4. my favorite books as a younger kid
5. a collection of miniature glass animal figurines
what should i do with all these? is there a way to incorporate them into my room? any decor ideas would help, too. thanks.
Make use of storage for things like your art supplies and board games.
For example, if you are using a foot stool, etc make sure that the top opens so that you can store things in there. Also, make sure if you are buying cabinets, T.V stands, etc, that they have doors on them so that you can store things in there and close them up. That way, it doesn’t matter how much you have inside of them, because you just close the door and it looks clean and simple.
For your glass figures, make some kind of display case with shelves in it to display. When you have a collection, it’s better to place them all together to showcase them. That way it also looks like a collection rather than random pieces all over your room. If you have a lot, maybe pick a few favourites and put the rest into storage until you move into your own apartment or house when you have more room…
Purchasing a bed with storage underneath is also perfect!!
